- Profile Information: Auto-generated username (you don't need to provide personal details)

- Usage Data: Features used, interaction patterns, and app performance metrics
- Push Notifications: We may send push notifications to your device for pick alerts and app updates. You can opt out at any time through your device's notification settings.

- Betting transaction history (we do not facilitate betting)
- Precise location data
- Contacts or address book
- Photos, camera, or microphone access

We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider. Your data is:

- Subject to Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring you can only access your own data

SwipePicks does not use browser cookies. However, we use:
- Secure Local Storage: To store authentication tokens and user preferences on your device
- Session Storage: To maintain your login state within the app
This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.

- Deletion: You may delete your account directly within the app by navigating to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your profile and preferences are removed immediately, your swipe history is anonymized or deleted within 30 days, and backup copies are purged within 90 days. You may also request deletion by emailing privacy@swipepicks.app.

Withdrawing Consent: You may withdraw consent to our collection and use of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us at privacy@swipepicks.app. Note that withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide you with SwipePicks services. We will inform you of the implications before you withdraw consent.

9. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account:
- Your profile and preferences are deleted immediately
- Your swipe history is anonymized or deleted within 30 days
- Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days
10. Children's Privacy
SwipePicks is intended exclusively for users aged 19 and older in Ontario, Canada, or the applicable legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you are under the applicable age of majority, you are not permitted to use SwipePicks. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information should contact us at privacy@swipepicks.app.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States by our third-party service providers including Supabase (database, hosted on AWS), Vercel (hosting), Sentry (error monitoring), and Resend (email delivery). These countries may have different data protection laws than Canada. By using SwipePicks, you consent to this cross-border transfer. We ensure appropriate contractual safeguards are in place with all service providers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
- Sending an in-app notification for significant changes
